Privacy Policy

At Argosy Players, we are committed to keeping your information private and treating it with respect. We may keep information about your name, your postal address, your phone number and your email address. If you buy a ticket (or other merchandise) from us online, we will retain and use the data as required in order to fulfil the order. Provided you give us permission, we may also use your information from time to time to contact you about upcoming Argosy shows and other Argosy events and appearances.

We use MailChimp to manage the mailing list and TicketSource to manage our box office. We will not share your details with anyone else. We have set the systems up to connect to each other, so that if you change your subscription preferences on one, it will automatically be reflected on the other. In addition, we will purge your information from TicketSource for 10 years after your final ticket purchase.

There will be an Unsubscribe link in every email sent to the mailing list, but you can also choose to unsubscribe now. We’ll be sorry to lose contact with you, but we understand how full an Inbox can get these days.

If you want to delete or suspend use of your details, or change or view any of the information we have about you, or exercise any of your other rights with respect to the data we have about you, please contact info@argosyplayers.org.uk for assistance.

Members

We keep more information about people who are, or have been, paid up members of the society – most members have performed with us at some time or another. This information includes emergency contact details, including the name and telephone number of someone we should reach out to in the event of an emergency. We also keep email addresses in a separate mailing list, managed by Google. We never share this information with anyone else, though we may forward certain information from third parties to the members mailing list on occasion.

If you want to view or manage this data, please contact info@argosyplayers.org.uk

Children’s Data

We collect and store data for under 16s who participate in ACT! (Argosy Children’s Theatre) and for those Under 16s who take part in our annual pantomime or any other productions requiring young people. We obtain consent from the parent/carer of the child before collecting this data. This information is available to a restricted number of staff for whom it is deemed necessary. When the young person reaches 16, consent is sought from the individual. Should you want to view or manage this data, please contact info@argosyplayers.org.uk

Service Providers and Volunteers

We also keep the names, phone numbers and, where provided, addresses of people who have provided services to the company, such as musicians, backstage crew, front-of-house helpers etc. We will use these to request assistance or services on future occasions. If you want to see or manage this data, please contact info@argosyplayers.org.uk
